Super Mario Maker 2 will be released in just over a month, and many fans are just wondering when we will have more information on the much anticipated Switch title. Well, Nintendo finally responded by announcing the release of a Nintendo Direct Super Mario Maker 2 that will air tomorrow.
Apparently, we know very little about Super Mario Maker 2, so I'm expecting from Direct that tomorrow put the curtain back in the back of the game, showing with hope that it deserves to be a full sequel rather than a new updated version.
That said, let's take a closer look at tomorrow's forecasts for Mario Maker Direct!
amiibo costume holder
One of the favorite features of Super Mario Maker was the amiibo costumes. It was great to play through the levels as legendary characters like Sonic, Mega Man and more. I would love to see this feature come back with even more costumes to support new friendibo figures like King K. Rool and Cloud.
More playable characters
Aside from the amiibo costumes, Mario was the only playable character in the original Super Mario Maker. We have already seen Luigi carry the construction material in the promotional material of Super Mario Maker 2. I therefore hope we can see Luigi, and maybe even that Toad, Toadette and Princess Peach will enter the fold as than playable characters. It would be really great if these characters could have their own unique physique, like Luigi's in New Super Luigi U.
Course Sharing Details
Navigating World Race in Super Mario Maker was sometimes very complicated, as it was almost impossible to sort courses into separate categories. I think Super Mario Maker 2 will improve course sharing by allowing players to level certain levels, such as automatic levels, music levels, and standard platform levels. This is a small change that would make navigating user-created levels much more enjoyable.
A campaign made by Nintendo
It's been a long time since we have implemented a new 2D Mario campaign by Nintendo. So I think Big N will make a version of Super Mario Maker 2. There were some great levels created by Nintendo on the 3DS version of Super Mario Maker and I really believe that it is possible that Nintendo will further develop this title in this new title. This campaign will not be too long, but hopefully it will feature some of the best new tools for creating the game.
New art styles
During the press tour of Super Mario Maker, Nintendo has regularly proposed new artistic styles for the game. For the rest, we have already seen the artistic style Super Mario 3D World, but I do not think it's all that we will have. I think I see Super Mario Bros. 2 or Super Mario Land included in the live tomorrow. The game of Super Mario Bros. 2 is very different from other 2D Mario games, but with the inclusion of Super Mario 3D World, I do not think Nintendo fears to include the artistic styles of games that play differently from classic 2D Mario games.
