LONG BEACH, CA – A pregnant woman and her unborn child were killed in a road rage incident over the weekend that ended in a three-car crash south of Los Angeles, police said.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter while intoxicated following Sunday’s collision in Long Beach, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The suspect and a 10-year-old boy who accompanied him in a van suffered non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.

Long Beach Police said the driver of the van was in conflict with the driver of another vehicle before the van crashed into the car driven by the 23-year-old pregnant woman.
The pickup then crashed into a parked and unoccupied truck.
The woman in the car and her unborn child died in hospital.

The suspect’s bail has been set at $ 200,000, the Times reported.
