With the premiere of Game of thronesAs the final season approaches, the time has almost come for longtime cast members to part – but not before having another celebration of the size of a dragon! On Wednesday, all our favorite members of the cast left Westeros and gathered on the red carpet in New York to celebrate the eighth season of the series. While we can not wait to see all the drama and emotions explode on the screen, it's nice to see smiles on every face we know so well for change – and they're so much more ridiculous off screen than expected . Just look at the dog!
Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Gwendoline Christie and Maisie Williams were present – with some super cute couples, including Rose Leslie and Kit Harington – but a prominent cast member was obviously missing: Lena Headey. In an Instagram post the same day, Lena (aka Cersei Lannister) expressed her disappointment at having missed the first since she was sick. "I hate being sick and the timing is wrong," Headey said. "But … S8 is the prey, just like my casting companions, my teammates and my creators … so, ride in the night and create MAYHEM."
