Presentation: The Vacheron Constantin Historiques American 1921 in white gold (and a limited Platinum edition!)

I remember the first time I saw an American in 1921 in person. It was as if Vacheron Constantin had seen a Panerai Radiomir and had said to it: “hold my gin, old sport”. The reality is that the design predates any Panerai in good measure, and it’s one that’s been in VC’s stable for a century, sitting confidently outside the brand’s usually reserved character to deliver something with a pre-war sporting flair that hasn’t forgotten the era of giant glittering sports cars, worldly romance and the promise of the American Dream. And, like the silent call of an ethereal green light across the bay, the 1921 American Historics has a special charm all its own, especially in white gold.
