Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Took over the premises of her predecessor, President Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Assigned to Vice President Pence.
Republicans entrusted Pence, a former member of the House of Representatives, with a bonus office on the first floor in the US Capitol shortly after President Trump's inauguration in 2017.
The Vice President rarely used this space, but it was a symbolic gesture of the warm relationship he had with Ryan and the House GOP. The vice-president is president of the US Senate, and historically he has been assigned a Senate-side office in the capital, where Pence runs a regular court when he goes to Congress.
Former House Speaker Paul Ryan gave offices to Vice President Pence on the first floor of the Capitol in 2017, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi reassigned the premises. The nameplate of Pence has recently been removed.

A sign over the door identifying it as the office of Pence's home has been quietly removed in recent weeks. A Democratic assistant in the House confirmed to NPR that the space would be reallocated. "Room assignments are reviewed and modified at the beginning of each congress," said the assistant.
The speaker is the only one able to distribute offices in the Capitol, a real estate popular with members of the management and senior executives. While Pelosi revoked Pence's office privileges, the advisor said she was providing new offices to the White House legislative affairs team, which she did not previously enjoy with the majority of the GOP .
A spokeswoman for Pence did not respond to NPR's request for comment.
