Donald Trump joined more than 300 D-Day veterans at the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the landing.
It also marked the end of his three-day state visit during which he was entertained by fanfares, was summoned to a grand banquet and met with the queen.
He is now going to Ireland to meet the Prime Minister.
