Preview of WrestleMania 35: The Miz vs. Shane McMahon

The Miz against Shane McMahon

Falling match everywhere

WWE is criticized for not being able to tell a coherent story in the long run. And rightly so. Did you see how they built their main event of WrestleMania? They took a hot plot and made it so complicated that the excitement almost disappeared. They had six months to tell it and had to keep playing with it.

This is the main proof of why some even think that WWE can better tell a story on the fly. They do not have as much time to think of something else. Given the reaction of the crowd, they had to tell the story of the Kofi championship. Although the argument that Vince was too involved in the story is legitimate, with little time, they did not have much time to miss it. And they did a very good job overall.

But there is a match on this card that proves that WWE can tell a story over a long period of time and not blur it. This is the Shane McMahon match against Miz.

It started in November Jewel of the crown in what appeared to be a tournament of the best in the disposable world. It was a tournament involving members of both brands where the winner received a trophy at random. Representative Smack down, Miz went to the finals when he injured his knee and could not continue the game. Shane McMahon s' inserted randomly to take his place (because he can do it?) And won.

It was a random moment in a random show that it was better to forget soon. But that has blossomed in all of history.

Miz started calling himself "two-thirds" the best in the world and insisted that he and Shane end up teaming up, because together they won this tournament. A-Lister was still technically a heel at the time, but his calls to Shane were charming and both men had good comic chemistry.

Miz must have been a bit serious to convince Shane to team up with him. He felt that Shane was a related spirit, two men who lived their lives trying to win the favors of their closed fathers. Shane accepted the tag team and Papa Issue Team, McMizTeam Best in the World was born.

Their comical chemistry continued as a team, giving us this very entertaining segment in which Miz was trying to create team outfits with Shane, who did not really care.

Shane and Miz defeated the bar to win the team championships. They were a fun team and it was a good time to see Miz win the titles. Unfortunately, their reign has not been long. They lost the titles against Usos, which angered the Miz, who had the impression of dropping his partner and, in a sense, to let his father down.

The Usos have pushed them to participate in a revenge, which would take place in Cleveland, the hometown of Miz. Moreover, his father would be in the crowd watching. Once again, the Usos have proved too effective for the best in the world.

It was for the team. Shane McMahon had enough and attacked Miz in front of his father, George. He even got hold of Mr. Miz.

This set up the match to WrestleMania, which will be No Holds Barred. Miz's first promotion, after the betrayal, was filled with babyface fire without losing his attitude.

It's a well-told story that has been going on for almost six months. Since there were several stops, he never seemed to be trailing. To succeed, they managed to take Miz from a heel that was arguing with Daniel Bryan, then a fan favorite, to a friendly baby.

The match itself will not be a classic five-star. We are talking about 49-year-old Shane McMahon and Miz, who are really strong in the ring but have more character. However, the story they tell should help bear the weight. Miz is nice and Shane is a bastard. We want to see Shane get kicked.

It may be because it was not a story worthy of the triple threat of women that allowed him to do his job without being overworked. Whatever the reason, it is proven that they can tell a good story over a long period. Which makes it more disappointing when they screw it up so often.

The Miz and Shane McMahon will compete in a Falls Count Anywhere match, which will be the culmination of their six-month history, at WrestleMania 35 tonight, aired at 7 ET on the WWE network. And as usual, keep it CagesideSeats.com for all your WrestleMania coverage.
