Price Conciliation Program Walmart ending Savings Catcher

(Gray News) – Walmart will end its Savings Catcher program this spring.

Savings Catcher, an app-based price matching tool, helps customers compare the money they've paid for a Walmart item and the price advertised by a competitor for the same item.

If Savings Catcher discovers that a competitor is advertising the lower price of the item, a Walmart gift card will be issued for the amount of the difference.

"Since the introduction of the program, we have worked tirelessly to lower the prices of thousands of daily items in our stores, allowing our awards to win the vast majority of the time you send receipts to Savings Catcher. Walmart announced.

"This tells us that the program has been achieved, which was to provide you with daily low prices from the start so that you and your family can save money and live better."

On May 14, customers will have the last day to send a Walmart Pay electronic receipt to Savings Catcher for processing.

However, Savings Catcher's e-Gift loyalty card balance will be held until customers choose to spend money.

"There is no time for you to spend your rewards," the company said.

Gift cards can be spent in stores or online.
