Prices for GMC CarbonPro truck beds have been revealed and expensive

The GMC Sierra CarbonPro Edition of 2019 debuted last month and surprised the world of automobiles by promising lower weight while maintaining the strength of materials associated with steel and aluminum bed types. This innovative feature would be available in Sierra's Denali 1500 and AT4 1500 trim levels. But a little information is missing last time: its price.

"CarbonPro is made from the same raw material as in seven-digit supercars and even in aerospace applications," said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC.

Although the CarbonPro Edition is not expected to reach the seven-figure price of a carbon fiber-enriched supercar, a report by The reader concluded that he would reach the $ 70,000 mark. To put things in perspective, the most expensive Ford F-150 Limited is at $ 72,000.

The starting point of this innovation is the Sierra AT4 CarbonPro Edition, priced at $ 66,635. All option boxes are ticked at this price, including the 6.2 liter V8's performance exhaust and the camera's trick mirror, as well as the built-in speaker system at the Kicker hatchback .

If you want a luxury van with a carbon fiber bed, choose Sierra Denali CarbonPro Edition for $ 70,020. Like the AT4, this trim level is fully loaded, including exclusive 22-inch Denali rims and the CarbonPro crest.

Available in the premium versions of the Sierra Denali and AT4 for the rest of the 2019 model year, the prices of the Sierra CarbonPro Edition seem a little steep. However, we hope for a set of less expensive variants for the next model year.

GMC told The Drive that the Sierra would get more variants with the option of adding the CarbonPro truck bed, which seems like a good deal considering the value of the materials used.

GMC Sierra CarbonPro Edition 2019 trucks will visit GMC dealers this summer.
