Prince William and his family support the home team in the Euro 2020 final!

William, who is the president of the Football Association, appeared in person again to support the England football team as they faced Italy in the final of the football tournament (or football, like the British call sport) Sunday. And the Duke of Cambridge didn’t have to travel far – the match took place at Wembley Stadium in London.

He was joined by Kate Middleton and their 7-year-old son Prince George, who was also in the stands with his parents when the team advanced to the quarter-finals.

Just like last time around, the young royal and his father wore matching outfits, both opting for pointy blazers and a red and blue tie. Meanwhile, Kate honored her country’s colors in a white blazer.

They also had something to celebrate from the start as England scored their first goal just two minutes after the start of the league game.

Also in attendance were David Beckham and Tom Cruise, who celebrated the first goal with a punch.

Before the game, William shared a video message wishing the whole team “the best of luck”.

“To all of the England squad on and off the bench, I just want to wish you the best of luck tonight. What a team performance it’s been,” he said. “Every member of the team played their part. The whole back-end team has been really essential.”

“I can’t really believe this is happening. So exciting. I just wish you the best of luck. You bring out the best of England and we are all behind you. The whole country is behind you. So bring back- home, “he added.

When England advanced to the final after beating Denmark on Wednesday, William tweeted his excitement.

“What a game, what a result! A huge team effort @England,” he wrote. “The whole country will be behind you on Sunday.” He also included the hashtag #ItsComingHome, referring to the song “Three Lions” released in 1996 to mark the England football team hosting the European Championships that year.

The royal has been following Euro 2020 games closely. He watched England’s victory over Germany last week alongside Kate Middleton and their 7-year-old son Prince George … so that it was a school night!

After the match, William and Kate’s account shared an excited photo of the trio smiling and clapping in the stands. “Incredible performance @England! “, they wrote next to the snap.

The royal father was also present in Wednesday’s semi-final match against Denmark, where he reunited with Prince Frederik and Princess Mary of Denmark and their son Prince Christian.

Prince William is not the only royal cheering on England in the final. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall also had fun – ahead of the semi-final match, the royal couple invited the group of Coldstream Guards to play ‘Three Lions’ and ‘Sweet Caroline’ in the garden of Clarence House Wednesday.

Princess Eugenie and Sarah Ferguson also posted on Instagram in support of the team.
