Prince Harry didn’t have to ask Queen Elizabeth II for permission to write his next revealer.
A spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex told Fox News on Wednesday that the royal had recently entered into a private discussion with his family about the planned book. It was not necessary to get approval from his grandmother, the spokesperson added.
It’s unclear whether members of the royal family, including the reigning monarch, will be able to see the book before its release next year.
On Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex confirmed to Fox News that the 36-year-old was writing what his editor calls a “heartfelt and intimate memoir”.

Random House plans to publish the currently untitled book at the end of 2022. Although the publisher has not disclosed the financial terms, it has been reported that Harry will earn an advance of at least $ 20 million for his work and donate it to charity.
In response to the book’s announcement, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson told Fox News “this is not something we would comment on.”
In his announcement, Harry said his book aimed to tell “my story”.

Monday’s announcement came four months after Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, gave a television interview to Oprah Winfrey that has been seen by nearly 50 million people around the world.
The Duchess of Sussex said she felt lonely and almost suicidal before leaving England last year. Harry also acknowledged tensions with his father, Prince Charles, over his decision to step down from royal duties and his marriage to the biracial American actress.
