Can’t we all get along?
Prince Harry, while happily in California with his wife, Meghan Markle, is reportedly ‘heartbroken’ over lasting family tensions that have arisen following their decision to step down as senior members of the royal family, aka Megxit.
A friend of the couple, journalist Tom Bradby – who toured southern Africa with the Sussexes for their documentary, “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey” – shared his thoughts on the move during Sunday’s episode of ITV’s ‘Love Your Weekend’, where he is asked if he thinks Harry and Meghan seemed happier since they moved to California earlier this year.
“I think they’re feeling better, yeah… So are they unhappy?” No, I think they’re happy, the things they’re doing, they’re very excited, ”Bradby said, People reports. “I think he is heartbroken with the situation with his family. You don’t necessarily need to have knowledge to find out, but I think it’s true.
Bradby adds: “The situation with the family is clearly not ideal and it has been a very difficult year for all of them, but are they unhappy? No, I don’t think that’s true, I think they’re pretty happy actually, but I think they struggle with their position in life, I think they all do. I think William does too, I don’t think he finds it easy.
Thankfully, a separate report claims Harry and Williams are on the cusp of healing their strained relationship.
“There were phone and video calls over the Christmas and New Years holidays and the Sussexes sent gifts to the Cambridges and vice versa,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET. “Things are much better between William and Harry. If you go back a year to this point, these brethren barely spoke.
