Prince Harry and Prince William reconnect after their reported fallout.
Royal expert and Vanity Fair correspondent Katie Nicholl recently told Entertainment Tonight that the relationship between the royal siblings grew stronger over the holidays. The brothers have reportedly been estranged since Harry, 36, announced last year that he and his wife Meghan Markle were stepping down as members of the royal family.
“There were phone and video calls over the Christmas and New Years holidays and the Sussexes sent gifts to the Cambridges and vice versa,” Nicholl told the newspaper. “It was an opportunity in an otherwise very busy and chaotic year for the two families to come together and connect, albeit virtually.
“Things are going a lot better between William and Harry,” Nicholl continued. “If you go back a year at this point, those brothers barely spoke. When William went to the top of Sandringham he was so mad at his brother. He couldn’t even face going to that lunch with the Queen. He only went to meetings, such was his frustration and disappointment with what his brother had done and the way Harry was handling the situation. “

Still, Nicholl noted that it’s doubtful the relationship “will ever be as close” as it once was.

Lacey said that although William and Harry “do talk on the phone every now and then,” their relationship will take some time to heal.
“I think it would always have happened that Meghan and Harry lived on the other side of the world,” he explained. “I think Meghan and Harry will remain based in North America. Unless the brethren find a way to be reconciled, they will have to separate and respect each other.
“We know that in July 2021, the two brothers pledged to be in Kensington Gardens for the unveiling of the statue dedicated to their late mother, Princess Diana,” he said. “The world will judge then. But there is a lot of work to be done.”
