Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ wedding was nothing short of a bumpy, thorny ride due to the latter’s treatment of his wife.

And while the Prince of Wales had angered the late royal on several occasions with his disrespectful remarks against him, there was a cutting remark that left her feeling ‘traumatized’.

The infamous moment happened even before the two got married, during their engagement interview.

After the interviewer commented that the two looked “very much in love,” Diana agreed, saying, “Yes, absolutely.”

Charles intervened, saying, “Everything that ‘love’ means.”

Speaking about this response from Charles years later, Diana admitted that she was completely “traumatized” by the response.

“It completely threw me out. I thought, how strange [answer]. It absolutely traumatized me.
