Just days after the reopening of Santa Anita Park's main track, the 22nd horse of the season was euthanized after a serious injury.

Princess Lili B broke both legs at the end of a training session Thursday on the Santa Anita main track, according to owner and coach David Bernstein. She was euthanized, becoming the 22nd victim in Santa Anita since December 26th. @ BradFree1 with more: https://t.co/LWutWiGePR

"We are devastated," said Tim Ritvo, director of the operation of the owner of The Stronach Group, Brad free of daily running form.

The track was closed for a week after the 21st death since Dec. 26, but it reopened Monday following inspections and a sampling of earth, according to Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times. The track was to resume racing on March 22nd.
