Priyanka Chopra calls Nick Jonas ‘bold, confident and self-assured’ when they first meet

Priyanka Chopra recently opened up about spending quality time in quarantine with her husband Nick Jonas, where they opened up about their desire to raise a family together.

With her husband back home in Los Angeles and the now-London actress filming the Amazon series Citadel in London, Chopra remembered the couple’s courtship, which began with Jonas’ daring introduction. on Twitter which was followed by another bold move when they met in person the following year.

“ I was shocked at his daring, actually, ” the 38-year-old Indian star said of her first impression of the musician in an interview with People.

“He held my hand, he turned me around. I was like, “What’s going on?” He was bold, confident, sure of himself, ” Chopra said of him first met the Jonas Brothers star at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty in 2017.

“And that was the most attractive thing about Nick and still is for me.

She continued, “But I was so won over. Our attendance was so short. I just rode the wave because I trusted it. I’m someone who likes to have a sense of control, but he’s the only one I don’t feel like doing this with. I feel protected, calm.

The couple actually had their first communication with each other the year before Oscar night. And Jonas once again showed his ‘confidence’ and ‘daring’ when he reached out to her via Twitter and suggested he go out with her.

It would be several months later that they would have that first in-person reunion at Oscar party. At one point during the encounter, Jonas got down on his knees and said, ‘You are real. Where have you been all my life? ‘

The actress gave him her phone number and the two quickly began a textual relationship that Jonas described in an interview with Vogue like “friendly with an eye for flirtation”.

Things went into overdrive from there. Jonas proposed to Chopra on July 18, 2018, less than two months after starting dating. They then sealed their engagement with a traditional Roka ceremony in Mumbai the following month in front of members of both families.

They were married on December 1, 2018 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India, during traditional Hindu and Christian ceremonies.

In the previous months, the couple have expressed their desire to expand their family and have children of their own.

‘I want children, as many as I can have,’ Chopra recently told the Sunday Times, before clarifying that she doesn’t want so many kids that she could start her own ‘cricket team’ ‘, which has 11 players.

Priyanka has loved spending quality time with her husband over the past few months as they are normally very busy with their careers.

“It’s great because we still love each other. It’s important, ” Priyanka told The Late Show With Stephen Colbert about their time together in quarantine.
