Priyanka Chopra Says She Still Loves Husband Nick Jonas During Lockdown

Priyanka Chopra cherished her time locked out with Nick Jonas.

The 38-year-old actress has loved spending quality time with her husband the past few months as they are normally very busy with their careers.

“It’s great because we still love each other. It’s important, ” Priyanka told The Late Show With Stephen Colbert about their time together in quarantine.

“ We’ve both had such individual careers that I don’t think we would have ever spent six months together, so it’s really a blessing. I was really happy to be able to spend time together. ”

Currently she is in London filming Citadel. Nick spends time with her in town when he can.

Nick, 28 – who has been married to the actress since 2018 – recently admitted that he also enjoys spending time at home.

He said: ‘The biggest benefit of it all has been this time at home, which Pri and I wouldn’t have had, if all of this [not] arrived, as busy as our schedules have been in recent years.

“ It’s been a benefit, just for a little while, sort of planting our roots. ”

Meanwhile, Priyanka recently confessed that she was ‘shocked’ by Nick’s daring when they first met.

The beloved duo took to Twitter and then met in person at an Oscar afterparty in 2017.

She said: ‘I was actually shocked at his daring. He held my hand, he turned me around. I thought to myself, “What’s going on? He was bold, confident, sure of himself.

“And that was the most attractive thing about Nick and still is for me. But I was so taken. Our attendance was so short. I just rode the wave because I trusted it.

“ I’m someone who likes to have a sense of control, but he’s the only one I don’t feel like doing this with. I feel protected, calm.

She also told People this week how ‘shocked’ she was at ‘daring’ Nick when they first met.

They took to Twitter and then met in person at an Oscar party in 2017.

And Priyanka now remembers meeting Nick at the party, where she was “shocked by his daring”, which she found “attractive”.

She said: ‘I was actually shocked at his daring. He held my hand, he turned me around. I thought to myself, “What’s going on? He was bold, confident, sure of himself.

“And that was the most attractive thing about Nick and still is for me. But I was so taken. Our attendance was so short. I just rode the wave because I trusted it. I’m someone who likes to have a sense of control, but he’s the only one I don’t feel like doing this with. I feel protected, calm.

Priyanka added, “ Nick always tells me this, ‘I’ll always be in your corner.’ ‘He told me very early on. It was before our wedding. I think at one point we were at odds on something, and he was like, “I’m still in your corner. We’re not on different sides of the room.” And it just changed the way I spoke to him. It has become the biggest thing I feel about this partnership, and what makes me so confident that I can do whatever I want to do.

And the couple don’t have any “ negativity or drama ” in their romance either.

She explained, “We are building each other. There’s no, like, I wanna pull you down, negativity, drama. We can have real conversations. It’s the sexiest thing in our relationship, to be able to have conversations and enjoy them. Where it is not tedious. You can talk for hours and hours, and you’re just like, “Oh, we don’t even remember what we talked about.” I feel very blessed.

The Unfinished author also said having children was “ definitely ” on the cards for her and Nick, but she is currently focused on her career.

Speaking to People magazine, she said: ‘Right now my other babies are coming out – my book, my movies and my TV show. It took me 10 years of pounding the pavement in America to be in a place where I was doing the kind of work I was looking for. I kind of revel in the incredible work that I do. I think that’s my priority at the moment.
