Colin Kaepernick’s television production has been forced to take additional security measures after being threatened by the Proud Boys, TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the production told the outlet that anti-Black Lives Matter group were planning a protest during a shoot last Friday. While the demo never came to fruition, it worried the cast and crew in terms of how much time the group could spend disrupting the production. Two production assistants also claim that a suspicious phone call was made to the production office last week.
Netflix recently announced the limited series Pollock in black and white created by Kaepernick and Ava DuVernay. It will provide “meaningful insight” into Kaepernick’s formative years and focus on his time in high school. Viewers will see how these experiences shaped Kaepernick’s take on race and possibly activism.
He would grow up to play the Super Bowl and realize that you never stop fighting for your dreams.
She would grow up to tell stories that matter to millions of people.
