Projection of the Top 25 AP for week 4

[ad_1]

Another exhilarating weekend in college football vowed to keep its promises and did just that, albeit without major upheaval. For the first time since last season’s SEC Championship game, it looked like top-ranked Alabama was on the ropes in Florida on Saturday, but Crimson Tide’s two-point conversion stoppage preserved a victory narrow and lock in another # 1 spot in Sunday’s AP Top 25 Ranking for Week 4.

Editor’s Note: This is a live leaderboard that will be updated throughout Saturday night’s games until all contests involving the top 25 teams are finalized.

Alabama scored three touchdowns in the first quarter against the Gators, before Florida reduced the deficit and dragged the rest of the way before failing to convert a two-point conversion in the dying minutes. In Saturday’s other big-name game, Penn State held off Auburn at home with several big defensive saves late in the fourth quarter in a nationally ranked unbeaten showdown.

The Nittany Lions will move up to the top 25 this week, while a few defeated title contenders head to the sidelines after less than inspiring performances.
