Protesters in New York shut down 5th Avenue on Saturday to protest Microsoft's work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The technology giant signs a contract with ICE to provide the technology used to implement President Donald Trump's immigration policies.

The traffic lane was blocked a few blocks from Trump Tower.

"Close the Camps NYC Coalition has led hundreds of protesters to peacefully march on Microsoft's first retail site on Manhattan's 5th Avenue, holding a sit-in to ask the technology giant to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to use its technology. in the racist campaign against immigrants and legal asylum seekers, "said the group.

"By knowingly and voluntarily providing technology support to ICE, XYZ Corporation is collaborating with ICE and its racist mission of tearing families apart and abusing children," said activist Andy Ratto. "It's a moment of life or death for 11 million undocumented migrants in the United States, and we will not be silent about American corporations that profit from and allow human suffering."
