The ruling was released Monday by DC Superior Court Judge Harold L. Cushenberry Jr.. Even though Tarrio was not in Washington on the day of the Jan. 6 insurgency, the judge said Tarrio’s previous conduct in the nation’s capital undermined American democracy.
“This tribunal must respect the right of all citizens to assemble peacefully, to demonstrate and to make their views known on issues,” Cushenberry said. “But Mr. Tarrio’s conduct in these criminal cases does not justify any of these democratic values. Instead, Mr. Tarrio’s actions have betrayed them.”
