“Biggs informed the interviewer that the doors to the Capitol were wide open when he entered the building,” the complaint states. “Biggs denied having any knowledge of any pre-planning for the Capitol Assault and had no idea who planned it.”
One of the videos examined by the FBI shows Biggs responding, “That’s great!” after someone asked him what he had to say as people entered the Capitol, according to the complaint. The agent, whose name has been redacted, also noted that Biggs was wearing what appeared to be a walkie-talkie-style device, along with several other alleged members of Proud Boys.
Biggs faces charges of obstructing, influencing or obstructing a formal process; knowingly entering a restricted building without legal authorization; and willfully and knowingly engage in disorderly conduct to prevent a session of Congress.
He is appearing in court tomorrow. It is not known if Biggs has retained the services of a lawyer.
Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was arrested on January 4 and taken into custody on suspicion of destroying property for allegedly destroying a Black Lives Matter sign at a historic Black Church in Washington, DC, last month . ripped from Asbury United Methodist Church, one of the city’s oldest black churches.
Tarrio was arrested entering the city just before the march in support of President Donald Trump that led to the mob attack on the Capitol. Tarrio was discovered to have two high capacity magazines and faced an additional pistol load.
