A tentative agreement between Stop & Shop and thousands of strikers was signed Sunday night, the two parties said in separate statements.
The strike, begun 10 days ago on Sunday, began when 31,000 Stop & Shop workers left their jobs on April 11 in 240 stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
The three-year interim agreement between Stop & Shop and the five locals representing the workers of the United Food and Commercial Workers offers a salary increase to all employees, as well as health coverage and benefits. continuous retirement, said both parties.
