Since the announcement so long ago, some PS Plus subscribers may not achieve something big that they can hope for in November.
When it comes to free Playstation plus games, Sony generally sticks closely to its established model. On the last Wednesday of each month, Sony announces the next batch of free PS Plus games for the following month, with those titles actually going live the following Tuesday. For example, Sony lifted the curtain on free PS Plus games for August 2021 on Wednesday, July 28, and the games will in fact be available to subscribers for download starting Tuesday, August 3.
Sometimes Sony breaks with this model and announces free PS Plus games early on, but only on very rare occasions. So far, this is mostly done when it comes to free PS5 PS Plus games, as was the case with AllStars Destruction, Oddworld: Storm of Souls, and the last example, the Hunter’s Arena: Legends battle royale game. While AllStars Destruction was confirmed as a free-to-play PS Plus game months before its release, gamers only knew Strange world and Hunter’s Arena about a month in advance.
Since Sony very rarely deviates from the way it reveals free PS Plus games, some may be surprised to learn that we potentially already know about one of the free PS Plus games for November 2021. However, that doesn’t isn’t a completely cut and dry case, and it’s entirely possible that what some think is a free PS Plus game for November 2021 doesn’t actually “count” as one of this month’s free titles.
GTA Online Free
Sony kicked off its Future of Gaming presentation last year by revealing that the two Grand Theft Auto 5 and its online component, Grand Theft Auto Online, would make their way to PlayStation 5. The initial plan was for the PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online have already been released, but plans have finally been pushed back and are now releasing on PS5 on November 11.
When Sony announced the Grand Theft Auto 5 Port PS5, the reveal included exclusive benefits for PlayStation gamers. One of the advantages was to get the standalone version of Grand Theft Auto Online for free on PS5, and the other was that PS4 gamers were getting $ 1 million free per month for every month between the Future of Gaming storefront and the launch of GTA Online on the PlayStation 5.
Now the wording of this is a bit confusing. It looks like every PS5 owner is going to get Grand Theft Auto Online free at launch, whether or not they are a PlayStation Plus subscriber. However, GTA Online is literally unplayable without PlayStation Plus. Like most other online PlayStation games, a PS Plus subscription is required to play Grand Theft Auto Online, so it always requires a subscription.
In view of this, it is possible that Grand Theft Auto Online is positioning itself as the free PS Plus game for November 2021, serving as the PS5 offering for that month. However, it is also possible that it is simply presented as a bonus gift. After all, that doesn’t say people have to be PlayStation Plus subscribers to claim. Grand Theft Auto Online, just that they need a subscription to play it.
November 2021 free PS Plus games will likely be something different

They haven’t been announced yet of course, but they will almost certainly consist of two PS4 games and one PS5 game.
In the meantime, subscribers can still claim the free July 2021 PS Plus games at the time of writing, and can expect the free August 2021 PS Plus games to join the service on Tuesday, August 3.
