Sony may not be participating in E3 this year, but there is still a lot of work to be done between players around the world. The company has now detailed some upcoming changes to the PS4's party system, and this sounds intriguing.

Sid Shuman, director of social networks, revealed in an article posted on the Sony website that Sony is currently testing improved audio quality of online chatting, improved network connectivity, and the ability to create and participate in night-time gatherings. Up to 16 people.

The new features are part of the upcoming PS4 update preview program, which offers beta access to some users for new updates. North American players will also be able to test some additional features: the PS4 Second Screen mobile app will allow you to enter text that will be spoken out loud to other members of the group. In addition, the application can transcribe the audio of the incoming cat of your friends. Sony indicates that these application-centric updates are currently available only for users in the United States and Canada, and only in English.

Registration for the next beta update will be posted today, June 4 in North America, and "soon" in Europe. Note, however, that if you participate in the preview program, you will only be able to join groups containing other members of the program. However, if you are successfully selected for the beta version, Sony will allow you to share your access code with 20 friends, which means you will all be able to test the update together.

In other news PlayStation, Blood & Truth, a PS4 exclusive, became the first game exclusively in virtual reality to reach the top of the sales chart in the UK last week. The shooter was launched just a few days ago and we gave it a 7/10 in our review Blood & Truth.
