At the moment, Sony only sells the PlayStation 5 and the accompanying DualSense controller in one color scheme: black and white. However, if you’re dying to inject a splash of color into your own gaming life, now there’s a new way to do it without breaking the bank.
Third-party company Decor Evolve has now made a handful of new controller covers available for the PS5’s DualSense. The covers are available in ten different colors including gold, silver, orange, red, and various shades of blue to name a few. As for how these covers work, they simply clip onto the front part of the DualSense and add color to the black bottom part of the controller.
Perhaps the best part about these DualSense covers is that they are also quite inexpensive. Decor Evolve only sells each blanket for $ 9.99 a pop, which is a pretty fair price overall. Additionally, if you decide to purchase four of the covers in total, you will get 20% off your total order. Conversely, purchasing two blankets can get you 10% off.
While these covers don’t do anything other than add color to the DualSense controller, they’re a good compromise for now. In the future, Sony will surely end up releasing more DualSense that will be decorated in different color schemes, but until that day arrives, these fronts are about the best you can do.
The most interesting thread to follow will be about Sony. So far, the PlayStation maker has shown that it isn’t a fan of third-party companies trying to sell PS5-related products. That being said, it’s hard to see them take action against Decor Evolve. Since the company doesn’t sell anything other than plastic skins, Sony is unlikely to be able to do anything to stop sales.
