PS5 restocking update for Target, Walmart, Best Buy and more

The Sony PlayStation 5 is one of the most sought after items right now and many people have struggled to find one. Major retailers like Target, Amazon and Best Buy have seen their stocks run out, causing some frustration for potential customers.

A number of Twitter accounts have been set up to monitor PlayStation 5 availability and report consoles restocking in stores and online. Some hopeful buyers have repeatedly refreshed websites in anticipation of new inventory.

PS5 target replenishment

Target was out of stock from PS5 at the time of writing, although accessories such as the DualSense wireless controller are available for purchase. Target could have more PS5s in the near future, however, according to the YtNextGenGaming Twitter account. He has shared updates on PS5 restockings in the past and offered some good news on December 31.

“Many target stores have secured inventory. According to my sources, there should be a drop in the next 2 weeks. Look for them to drop Sunday through Tuesday,” the account tweeted.

January 1, YtNextGenGaming shared a list of stores either confirmed or restocking the PS5s in the coming week, although the reports could not be confirmed. The Target Restock Alerts Twitter account is also a watch for updates on the store’s PS5 stock. He advises regularly refreshing the Target website.

Walmart PS5 restock

Walmart’s website shows they currently have no PS5 in stock, noting for both versions of the console, “Oops! This item is not available or out of stock.” However, they still sell PS5 DualSense wireless controllers and charging stations.

Best Buy PS5 restock

The PS5 disc and digital versions sold out on Best Buy’s website in early January 2. Best Buy has several different packages, and customers must order online to be picked up on the sidewalk. PS5s cannot be purchased in stores.

Amazon PS5 Replenishment

The PlayStation 5 was not available on Amazon at the start of January 2, although some were available on January 1 before going on sale. Amazon’s website says, “We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

Twitter account @CoolDealCA provides regular updates on the availability of the PS5 on Amazon as well as a large number of other products as they become available at the online retailer.

EBay PS5 Replenishment

The PlayStation 5 is available on eBay and according to the NowInStock.net inventory tracker, it appears to be the only place the console can currently be purchased.

However, the prices are considerably higher than those of major retailers, with some eBay users charging up to $ 1,500 for the console, although the consoles offered vary in price.

When will the PS5 be restocked?

According to Digitimes, up to 18 million consoles are expected to be released in 2021. This is five times more than the total number released in the first month after the start of sales. About $ 10 million is expected to be released by March of this year, an increase from the original figure of $ 6 million.
