PS5 restocking update is great news for PlayStation fans

[ad_1]

The PS5 was released over six months ago, but it’s still very difficult to buy. Every week a few new PS5 restockings come out, usually with very limited stock, and the supply runs out in minutes, sometimes less. It doesn’t matter if it’s Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Costco, or any other major retailer; Since pre-orders went live last September, purchasing the PS5 has been a nightmare for many PlayStation fans.

In 2020, around the launch of the console, it was planned. However, many expected the situation to improve in 2021. This is not the case. In fact, the situation has worsened. Not only is demand still on the rise and stable, supply has apparently become more scarce, with many retailers completely dry with the holiday season.

According to various reports, 2022 won’t be much better, and 2023 could be a struggle too. Why? Because there is a shortage of components that will not be resolved anytime soon. Having said that, there is hope.

In a recent meeting with shareholders, Kenichiro Yoshida – the president and CEO of Sony – revealed that there will be an acceleration of the PS5 in the next fiscal year in order to reach a sales target of 22 , 6 million units, an ambitious sales target which, if achieved, would set records for PlayStation. How it’s going to do it remains to be seen, but clearly Sony knows something about the offering that we don’t.

That said, it remains to be seen whether this supply will be sufficient to meet demand. What also remains to be seen is when stores will start selling the console in person, with no scalpers or bots.

The PS5 is available for $ 400 and $ 500, depending on the mode. For more information on the console and all things PlayStation, including all the latest news and offers, click here or check out the relevant links listed below:
