PS5 out-of-stocks saw Sony take a hit on the mainstream Trustpilot website.
PS5 restocking issues have been a constant since pre-orders for the console went live in late 2020.
PlayStation 5 consoles typically sold out within minutes of going on sale, resulting in months of frustration for gaming fans.
Things weren’t made any easier by bots and scalpers, who resell units at inflated prices.
As Sony failed to communicate with its customers, fans started posting negative reviews on sites like Trustpilot.
Following the launch of the PlayStation 5, the Sony UK Trustpilot rating dropped to just 1.7 stars.
Critics criticized Sony for its poor planning and for failing to communicate when the PlayStation 5 consoles are back in stock.
Obviously, this isn’t a complete disaster for Sony, as the PS5 continues to prove popular whenever it goes on sale.
Things should also improve in February, especially if reports of a sharp drop in inventories prove to be correct.
There are even reports that Argos may have PS5 shares in the early hours of January 24.
Although there have been many conflicting reports of Argos resupplies, some claim the units will be available from 1 a.m. UK time.
“Argos employees have reported handling multiple PS5s in preparation for launch,” a PS5 UK Stock tweet read. “Several employees said we should expect a drop between 1am and 4am today or unfortunately tomorrow night.”

While Sony may have taken a hit on Trustpilot, anyone lucky enough to secure a console is in for a treat.
The new PlayStation device has some fantastic features to go with its killer launch lineup.
Most notable of all is the DualSense controller, which uses advanced haptic feedback to reflect the action on the screen.
In games like Astro’s Playroom, for example, you’ll feel it when your character is walking on ice or being thrown backwards by a strong gust of wind.
Adaptive triggers are also used to better mimic the feeling of shooting a gun or pulling the strings of a bow.
Adaptive triggers are best exemplified in games like Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, Fortnite, and Borderlands 3, where different weapons offer different levels of resistance.
It will be interesting to see how games like Horizon Zero Dawn 2 use adaptive triggers and haptic feedback, especially given the emphasis on massive beast hunting with high-tech arcs.
