Here are AC: Valhalla load times on both next-gen consoles:
PS5– 51.93 seconds
Xbox Series X-1 minute 26 seconds
It’s worth noting that the PS5 skips some loading screens unlike the Xbox Series X. Microsoft’s next-gen console displays multiple loading screens that display Ubisoft and its engine, adding almost 30 extra seconds to its load times.
Interestingly, the quick commute times to the same location have minimal differences:
PS5– 11.90 seconds
Xbox Series X– 11.83 seconds
Therefore, it’s safe to assume that the PS5 and Xbox Series X can run Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla the same way. The PS5’s custom SSD might have a slight edge in loading games; however, there are no noticeable changes during the game.
How fast are new generation consoles compared to current generation consoles
JorRaptor also compared the load times of the X series and the PS5 with the Xbox One X. Unsurprisingly, the current gen console falls far short of next gen consoles in terms of speed and performance.
The Xbox One X takes over 2 minutes and 50 seconds to charge Valhalla and over 50 seconds to travel quickly inside the game. These numbers are enough to prove how next-gen consoles will revolutionize gaming.
