Square Enix Store error gives players early access
NEO: The world ends with you is technically still a few weeks away from its official Nintendo Switch released, but it looks like some lucky fans already got their hands on the Switch eShop version long before the game launched.
Unlike other leaks in recent times, this one is apparently due to an error on the part of the publisher. Some users who pre-ordered a physical copy of the game from the Square Enix Store apparently received a code redeemable for the full digital version on Switch yesterday.
This code was supposed to contain pre-order goodies and allows users to download and play the entire game. While Square Enix was able to correct its error in a matter of hours, many still had enough time to redeem the code.
If you’re planning on playing the sequel when it arrives on July 27, keep in mind that spoilers and leaks may already be making the rounds on social media and message boards. Were you one of the fans who were able to grab this game before its release? Leave a comment below.
