(WSVN) – Publix has announced that it will require employees to wear face masks starting next week.
In response to updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control on mask wearing, Publix announced that it will require all employees to wear masks, regardless of their immunization status.
The requirement comes into effect on Monday August 2.
Publix did not say they would require customers to wear face coverings, but added that they “encourage everyone to do their part to slow the spread of COVID-19.”
Publix also said it encourages all employees to get the vaccine, but it’s not mandatory.
