‘Purge’ Screened California Father Confronts Suspected Killer in Court

The father of a young woman gunned down in a Californian movie theater Monday night reportedly shouted “look at me, brother!” As he confronted his daughter’s murderer in court on Friday.

Rylee Goodrich, 18, was murdered in an attack that also left her boyfriend, TikTok influencer Anthony Barajas, 19, in critical condition after being shot in the eye.

The accused killer, Joseph Jimenez, 20, appeared in court on Friday.

“Hey, look at me, brother! Look at me! Look at me, man! That was my… ”David Goodrich yelled at the suspect, according to reports, before he became inconsolable and had to be comforted by a friend.

Goodrich and Barajas were shot dead at the Regal Edwards Corona Crossings in Los Angeles during a screening of “The Forever Purge”.

Police say they have no motive for the attack.

Jimenez did not appear in Riverside County Superior Court on Friday and his arraignment continued until next week. He has been in custody since his arrest and has been charged with murder and attempted murder.
