“Put it on or shut up”

STRAIT – A day after Rudy Giuliani and several witnesses pushed electoral fraud conspiracy theories before the Michigan House Oversight Committee, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said it was time to “lay aside or keep quiet ”regarding the offer of actual evidence.

On Wednesday evening, Giuliani made, without being under oath, outlandish statements of “massive cheating”, in particular by Democrats in Detroit, which he said resulted in 500,000 to 700,000 “illegal” votes. Despite Republicans questioning the city’s vote count, there is no evidence to show such a discrepancy.

Many claims during the hearing have already been refuted by election officials or judged incorrect or not credible by a judge who rejected a motion to stop certification in Wayne County.

A judge dismissed the lawsuit, ruling that the plaintiffs’ interpretation of the events – who attributed “sinister and fraudulent grounds” to the city and its election workers – was “incorrect and not credible”. Trump’s legal team and his allies have repeatedly lost in Michigan and other state courts.

“Plaintiffs’ depositors did not have a full understanding of the compiling of the TCF’s missing ballots,” Wayne County Judge Timothy Kenny said in a ruling last month.

The Michigan Attorney General, who noted that no evidence had been submitted to law enforcement to support allegations of voter fraud, again called on Republicans to provide the evidence – or stop making claims .

In November, AG Nessel, responding to a crazy claim from former state senator Patrick Colbeck, said Colbeck had never filed a complaint about electoral fraud, despite claiming to have evidence.

“Colbeck’s claims aside, intentionally making a false allegation of criminal activity to law enforcement is itself a crime. It is my experience that is often the reason why some reports are not made, ”said Nessel.

In Detroit, Biden won 240,936 votes against 12,889 for Trump. Four years ago, Hillary Clinton received 234,871 votes against 7,682 for Trump. Michigan election results have already been certified.

There is no evidence of massive election fraud. In fact, election officials from both political parties have publicly stated that the election went well, and international observers have confirmed that there were no serious irregularities. None of the legal challenges, like the inability of the GOP challengers to control the mail-in vote count in Detroit, showed the election result to be affected.
