“Shaman QAnon,” a participant in the Jan. 6 uprising on Capitol Hill, negotiates a possible plea deal with prosecutors after prison psychologists discovered he suffered from various mental illnesses, his lawyer said according to Reuters.

The man, Jacob Chansley, has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, defense attorney Albert Watkins said in an interview with the publication.

Watkins says the Bureau of Prisons diagnosis suggests Chansley’s mental state deteriorated while in solitary confinement in a prison in Alexandria, Virginia.

“As he spent more time in isolation (…) the drop in his acuity was noticeable, even to the untrained eye,” he said.

He added that Chansley’s 2006 records from his time in the Navy reflect a similar diagnosis.

Watkins has also said in the past that his client has Asperger’s Syndrome.

Watkins has repeatedly condemned the former President TrumpDonald Trump’s New Capitol Building Police Chief To Resume Overnight Health Care Friday: Biden Officials Say No Change In Masking Guidelines Yet | Missouri Supreme Court rules in favor of Medicaid expansion | Mississippi Attorney General asks Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. He even compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, claiming the world has not seen “propaganda” like Trump’s since “Hitler.”

Chansley was first pictured inside the Capitol shirtless wearing a horned headdress and heavily tattooed. He gets his nickname from his belief in the QAnon conspiracy theory, portraying Trump as a savior and the Democrats as a bunch of Satanists, pedophiles and cannibals.
