A suicidal man who was shot seven times by police officers in Queens still had the strength to taunt police officers – saying, "I should have done it in Texas, they are shooting better," said The Post. police sources.

The 34-year-old suspect, identified by sources as Jerrell Davis, first rammed his car into an empty police vehicle just meters from the 111th prefecture building at the corner of 215th Street. Northern Boulevard, around 3:00 pm, said New York Police Chief Rodney Harrison at a press conference on the scene.
Davis then got out of his car, sprinkled it with a flammable accelerator and activated it, officials said.
He also allegedly sprinkled the police vehicle without being able to ignite.
Several officers came running while Davis took out a 12-inch blood-stained kitchen knife, authorities said. Two policemen shot eight shots in total, while he refused to drop the blade, sources said.
The police did not know where the blood was coming from the knife.

The incident took traffic on Northern Boulevard, giving the witnesses a prominent place.
