Although the Seahawks overall played well, they hurt themselves with 10 penalties for 93 yards. Some of these penalties have been particularly damaging. Towards the end of the first half, DK Metcalf was summoned for a facemask, toppling the Seahawks and leading to a possible 58-yard placement attempt, which Jason Myers missed from far on his left.

At the end of the match, Ethan Pocic brought the race back for the first round of the Wilson, but the Seahawks managed to defeat that defeat while getting the first decisive round a few games later.
