R. KellyKelly’s attorneys have submitted a list of questions to potential jurors … and it’s clear they’re trying to weed out anyone who could judge Kelly’s sexual preferences or lifestyle.
According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ … the disgraced singer’s legal team wants the judge to include 6 additional questions for potential jurors to answer during the jury selection process.
Here’s the first on the list, just to paint the picture: “Do you have any opinions about heterosexual, lesbian, gay and / or bisexual people that might affect your ability to be a fair and impartial juror? “
From there, the questions focus on specific gay, lesbian, and bisexual scenarios and ask potential jurors if they have any opinions about them that would affect their ability to be fair and impartial.
This all stems from the latest development in the Kelly case, in which the judge ruled he would allow the new allegations – that Kelly treated and assaulted a 17-year-old man he met at McDonald’s – to be presented at trial.
So while Kelly’s legal team has claimed that the new abuse allegations are just the federal government attempt to smear it … they also try to ensure that jurors do not bring any homophobic bias into the courtroom.
