Rafael Nadal is about to win a fourth title at the US Open after defeating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman in straight sets in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.

The Spanish world number 2 beat Schwartzman 6-4 7-5 6-2 to set up a semi-final match against Italian Matteo Berrettini, who had already qualified for his first semifinal Grand Slam after a thrilling victory over the Frenchman in five sets. Gael Monfils.

Nadal, seeded second, led 4-0 in the first set and 5-1 in the second, only to see the 20th seed Schwartzman at every opportunity.
