The Oakland Raiders claimed Sunday quarter DeShone Kizer against waivers Green Bay Packers.

Kizer was among the Packers players on Saturday as the team reduced its roster to 53 players.

The Raiders are already three quarters off their lineup, so it's likely the team will split from Mike Glennon or Nathan Peterman, current defender Derek Carr's replacement.

Kizer was eliminated on Saturday less than two years after starting 15 games with the Cleveland Browns as a rookie. The Packers exchanged their former first-round pick, Damarious Randall, against Kizer on March 15, 2018. While Randall was the Packers cornerback, he had played all but one game for the Browns last year. . entry again this season.

Kizer, 23, who was the 52nd overall pick in the 2017 draft, has never been able to address the precision issues that plagued him during his rookie season as a starting point for the Browns. He launched 22 interceptions, a league high, and only 11 touchdowns in the Browns' No Win win season. For Kizer, it was his fourth different offensive in as many seasons – from his last year at Notre Dame to the Browns to his first year with the Packers under coach Mike McCarthy. to the new Packers coach, Matt LaFleur.

Kizer played three games under Rodgers last season, including three in the opening game of the season after Rodgers injured his knee against the Bears, and most of the season finale against Lions after Rodgers suffered a concussion. He launched two interceptions without touching 42 pass attempts in both games.
