The Oakland Raiders claimed Sunday quarterback DeShone Kizer against waivers from the Green Bay Packers, a source told ESPN Field Yates.
Kizer was among the Packers players on Saturday, as the team was reduced to a list of 53 players.
The Raiders currently have three quarters in their lineup, so it is likely that the addition of Kizer will mean that the team will move from Mike Glennon or Nathan Peterman, current defender Derek Carr's replacements.
Kizer was eliminated on Saturday less than two years after starting 15 games with the Cleveland Browns as a rookie. The Packers exchanged their former first-round pick, Damarius Randall, against Kizer on March 15, 2018. Kizer, 23, who was the 52nd overall pick in the 2017 draft, has never been able to address the precision issues that plagued his rookie Browns starter season.
