Several months ago, it was reported that SoFi had bought the naming rights for the stadium under construction in Los Angeles for the Rams and Chargers. The teams officially announced the deal on Sunday.
Both teams will start playing their home games at SoFi Stadium next season.
"In less than a year, the Rams will leave the tunnel to go to the SoFi stadium while people around the world see Mr. [Stan] Kroenke's creativity, dedication and hard work come to life through this game-changing building, "said Kevin Demoff, Rams' Director of Operations, in a statement. "We are excited to partner with SoFi on a partnership that will extend beyond the stadium's columns, a partnership that will combine our passions to inspire people to realize their ambition and climb higher."
The financial terms of the 20 year agreement have not been announced. May's report indicated that it cost about $ 20 million per season.
In addition to the Rams and Chargers matches, SoFi Stadium will host the Super Bowl LVI in 2022, the title of university football in 2023 and the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2028 Olympic Games.
