One of Nintendo's most scary characters is probably Mr. Resetti from the band Crossing of animals series. If you've already met it yourself, you'll know that it's the guy who pops out of the ground and warns you when you forget to back up. You may have even met his brother, Don Resetti, if you were particularly naughty.
Well, we have disturbing news to share today. It looks like Mr. Resetti has lost his job. Yes, during an interview with Mashable at E3 2019, Passage of animals: new horizons Project manager Aya Kyogoku confirmed that Resetti will be replaced at the reset monitoring center with a new automatic backup function.
"Unfortunately, because there is no need to reset the game or the reset button on the switch, Mr. Resetti had a lot of trouble, he was fired from his job."
Kyogoku thinks it's for the better: despite the sadness of his long-time fans about Nintendo's decision to drop the mole,
"I think it will be a positive thing for the player because in New Horizons you can stop playing in the middle of your game and the save will still be saved. "
Fortunately, she was able to reveal that Mr. Resetti was looking for a new job:
"We also believe that Mr. Resetti is looking for a new job after he is laid off, so look forward to it."
This brings us to wonder what is going on with his brother, Don. We assume that he was laid off too.
Alarmingly, this is not the first time that something like this is happening in the Animal Crossing series. The mayor of Tortimer City has retired to Passage of animals: New Leaf and it is believed that Frillard, the collared lizard, has died.
