Random: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Could Include Popular Zelda CD-i Reference

[ad_1]

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity not only refers to the latest game in the Legend of Zelda main series, but also pays homage to various other entries in the timeline, such as Ocarina of Time and even Link’s Awakening.

If that weren’t impressive enough already, it seems could also be a reference to the CD-i Phillips versions of Link. In particular – the popular merchant / modern meme – Morshu from the 1993 game, Link: Faces of Evil.

Here’s exactly what the above post says in the English version of Age of Calamity:

Entrance Test – After proving that you have defeated many monsters, the instructor has recognized your fighting ability. He said he will train you anytime, as long as you have enough rupees.

In Link: The Faces of Evil, Morshu owns a general store in the Goronu region. During one line of dialogue, he says “as long as you have enough rupees” – which, as you can see above, is the same line shown in Age of Calamity.
