Random: Twitter just defeated water-type gym leader Misty in Pokémon Red

It’s been over a week since Twitter began its journey into the classic Game Boy Pokémon Red.

In case you missed it, users of this social media platform played the original Game Boy title in the Twitter profile avatar of Gameloft Montreal programmer Constantin Liétard (@screenshakes).

So what’s the latest? The mastermind behind this social media experiment has just confirmed that Misty, leader of the Cerulean City aquatic-type gymnasium, has finally been defeated. Cascade badge acquired!

Looks like Level 18 Oddish (nicknamed CURSE) was able to pull through in the end.

The rest of the group is currently made up of a level 16 Spearow (SPEAROW), a level 14 Wigglytuff (POP), a level 24 Wartortle (AMAYBE), a level 16 Geodude (ABBPRI) and a level 10 Abra named Alakazam.
