Ranking of 3 opening NBA head coaches

Three NBA head coaches have already been fired, which means three new coaching positions must be filled this season. The Kings sent Dave Joerger off shockingly, the Grizzlies separated from J.B. Bickerstaff and the Cavaliers sacked Larry Drew on Thursday. These three franchises will have to find new coaches.

The question is, however, who wants the job?

Other coaching opportunities could arise in the coming days and weeks, but for now, it's all three jobs available. Former coaches such as Mark Jackson, Tyronn Lue and Stan Van Gundy, or current assistants such as Monty Williams and Darwin Ham will be rewarded names. But how would future coaches classify available opportunities?

3. Cleveland Cavaliers

The main draw of the Cavaliers was LeBron James. He crossed that door last summer and took with him a semblance of relevance from the NBA to Cleveland. Collin Sexton grew up in front of the world of basketball, but this player's lineup leaves a lot to be desired.

J.R. Smith was dismissed from the team but was not traded and could be part of next season. Kevin Love came back from an injury and was fantastic, but he just finished the first season of a five-year contract extension, worth $ 113 million. There are not many players with whom the Cavs must compete, but they have their own first-round pick. Whoever they are developing will be a pillar for their future unless they spoil it.

2. Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies are in a strange place. They will not be good, but they will not be bad enough to get into a first choice. That would help if they could unload Mike Conley, but Memphis says he wants to stay competitive. If there are no candidates for the remaining two years of Conley worth $ 65 million, this could be a job for a bridge head coach.

Memphis has a star in the making at Jaren Jackson Jr., and the Grizzlies took a bright start before collapsing at mid-season. The Grizzlies, however, also do not have a general manager after having demoted Chris Wallace as a recruiter. Things in Memphis are clearly changing.

The Kings have a bright future, even if they fired their head coach after their best season since 2006. (!!) De'Aaron Fox will be a star. Marvin Bagley could be one too. Buddy Hield and Bogdan Bogdanovic are an integral part of Sacramento's young core. And the Kings have pocket money to play and chase a second-tier free agent this summer.

The great unknown is Divac, a leader no one seems to understand perfectly. His vision of the future of Sacramento is unclear. But he has total control, and whoever occupies this position would do better to join him.
