Ranveer Singh wished actor Deepika Padukone’s wife on their second wedding anniversary, which falls on Diwali this year. He shared unseen photos with her on Instagram, as well as a sweet message for her “gudiya (doll)”.
Sharing two romantic photos from their wedding in Italy, he wrote: “Souls eternally intertwined. Happy second birthday meri guidya @deepikapadukone. While Ranveer is seen in a white floral kurta pajamas paired with a peach Nehru jacket, Deepika is seen standing next to him in a white floral kurta churidar, with her hair parted in a ponytail. The photos appear to be from one of their pre-wedding functions.
Several of their friends and fans wished them happy birthday in the comments section. 83 Ranveer co-star Chirag Patil, son of cricketer Sandeep Patil, wished them, saying, “I wish you and Bhaabhi a very happy birthday. Singer-actor Harrdy Sandhu, who will be considered cricketer Madan Lal in 83, wrote: “Happy birthday Veere and Bhaabhi”. Saqib Saleem, who plays cricketer Mohinder Amarnath in the film, dropped heart emojis in the comments section.
Ranveer and Deepika got married in a highly guarded multi-day wedding ceremony at Lake Como in Italy. The two had dated for about six years before taking the plunge. The couple starred in three Sanjay Leela Bhansali films together: Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.
Deepika and Ranveer will now be seen in ’83. The film will revisit India’s first Cricket World Cup victory in 1983. While Ranveer will be seen as Captain Kapil Dev, Deepika will be seen as his wife, Romi Dev.

The two spent all of their time together during the lockdown as all shoots hung amid the coronavirus pandemic. Speaking from the experience, Deepika said in an interview with journalist Rajeev Masand: “I have to say, he’s the easiest person to get along with in this scenario. He sleeps around 20 hours, which really gives me time to do the things I want to do. During the four hours he is awake, we watch a movie, eat, and exercise. It’s a real joy to be with right now. No requests, no worries, it’s very easy.
