Raspberry Pi 4 does not work with some USB-C chargers

This effectively excludes a load of very powerful chargers, especially for laptops such as Apple's MacBook line.

There is a relief in sight. Raspberry Pi co-creator Eben Upton suggested TechRepublic that the problem of USB-C would be solved in a "future review of the board". In the meantime, however, you will need to be more selective about the Pi's power supply. You can rely on unmarked cables, especially those provided with many smartphones, as well as the official Raspberry Pi option. Older Chargers equipped with USB-A to USB-C cables or micro-USB to USB-C adapters should also work if they provide enough power in the first place. So it's not a calamity – you just want to be careful if you're going to use a Pi 4 as the heart of your next DIY project.
