Ravens and Latavius ​​Murray agree to one-year contract

After restructuring a pair of contracts on Thursday, the Ravens had $ 3.35 million in cap space.

Jeff Zrebiec of TheAthletic.com reported Thursday night that the Ravens are bringing in Murray in the hopes that a deal will be made.

The situation for Ravens defenders had already turned dire with JK Dobbins and Justice Hill suffering from long-term injuries. Next, Gus Edwards was one of two players to tear his ACL apart during Thursday’s Ravens practice – the other being cornerback Marcus Peters.

Murray was released by the Saints earlier this week after refusing to take a pay cut. He was expected to earn $ 2.95 million in base salary, but fell to third in the standings behind Alvin Kamara and Tony Jones Jr.

Murray now joins a team from Baltimore who recently added Le’Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman to their practice squad. The Ravens also have Ty’Son Williams and Trenton Cannon on their active roster.
