Ravens give up quarterback, reduce roster to 80 players

The Baltimore Ravens made a flurry of roster changes Monday, which left them with 81 players on their squad. However, they needed to remove one more player from their roster in order to reach the required limit of 80 players by Tuesday.

Baltimore announced who they had decided to part ways with shortly after the 4 p.m. EST deadline.

Bahar entered and left Ravens training camp in 2021 and was recently brought back after compatriot Trace McSorley injured his back. Bahar played sparingly in Baltimore’s preseason victory over the Carolina Panthers, without attempting a pass.

Bahar’s departure leaves the Ravens with just two healthy quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. While Baltimore still has one preseason game to play, it looks like Jackson could take a few shots on Saturday against the Washington soccer team. However, another possibility would be for Huntley to play the entire game, much like he almost did against Carolina.
